Two countries. Two continents. Many differences. And yet not so different at all: Divided in the past by (invisible) boundaries (Apartheid in South Africa and the very real inner-German border between East and West), Germany and South Africa are still struggling to reconcile their past experiences. Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) and Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HsH) want to work together to overcome these differences and build bridges.

The best way to get to know and experience another country and culture is to travel there, and doing it during your studies is the perfect time. Young and adventurous, a student who spends a semester abroad can acquire more independence and self-confidence. The friendships and contacts formed during this time are incredibly valuable and enriching. In addition, there are many funding opportunities for students that can make such a journey possible.
